Climate change and water resources and intrinsically related. We must learn how to sustainable manage our water resources to ensure their resilience in a world of climate change.
This course developed by UNEP-DHI for Cap-Net UNDP pays particular attention to the development and implementation of integrated approaches, building on the co-benefits of tackling water management and climate action simultaneous and bridging together these two domains. Divided into five modules, the course explores the links between water and climate, the global agreements which frame action today (including the SDGs and Paris Agreement), planning tools and technologies, as well as practical ways forward and an introduction to financing sources.
The course is self-paced, free of charge, and open to participants representing various stakeholder groups from the entire water sector worldwide.
The next round of registration for this course is expected in Q2 of 2022. Keep an eye on the course webpage https://cap-net.org/iwrm4climateresilience/ for more information on registration and the next launch.
