The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) is the operational arm of the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism, hosted by the UNEP and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). UNEP-DHI is one of the core consortium partners of the CTCN and has been providing technical assistance to countries in the domain of water management and climate change adaptation since CTCN’s establishment in 2013.
As special focus of the CTCN assistance to countries is accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development, which is undertaken at the request of developing countries. This includes technology solutions, capacity building and advice on policy, legal and regulatory frameworks tailored to the needs of individual countries.
