In March next year, as part of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” (2018-2028), the UN General Assembly will be convening the UN 2023 Water Conference. Centered around 5 themes for interactive dialogues- Water for Health, Development, Climate, Resilience and Environment, Cooperation, and Water Action Decade- the conference aims to provide a comprehensive mid-term review of the implementation of Water Action Decade objectives.
To ensure meaningful and substantive stakeholder engagement in the conference, all stakeholders are invited to provide comments, suggestions and inputs on the five themes that have been proposed by the conference co-hosts. The online consultation will also provide the opportunity for those interested to express their perspectives on other key issues that could be considered during the UN 2023 Water Conference.
The online consultation is open to non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions, the scientific community, the private sector, philanthropic organizations and other stakeholders.
