The 2024 Africa Water and Sanitation Sector Monitoring Report (WASSMO), developed by the African Ministers’ Council on Water of the African Union, reviews Africa’s progress on water and sanitation. It assesses if Member States are on-track to achieve the global targets, based on contributions from 45 AU Member States and including data from UNEP-DHI’s SDG 6 monitoring initiative. Presenting the analysis in 7 different themes, it identifies key recommendations to guide the transition toward Africa Water Vision 2063. The report is available in English and French.
