This webinar Decision Support Systems for Integrated Water Resource Management took place on 13 April 2023. It was organized by the Danida Fellowship Centre, with the support of DHI. It will inspire and give you practical tips and knowledge to use in your daily work, whether you work in a non-governmental organization, a private business or a public institution in the field of water management.

The webinar focuses on how Decision Support System (DSS) tools and capacities can help ensure the sustainable development of river basins.

UNEP-DHI Centre’s work with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Global Water Partnership (GWP) on reporting on implementation of IWRM for SDG indicator 6.5.1 is highlighted in the first part of the webinar. The IWRM data portal and the work of the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme are mentioned as key resources in assessing the degree of IWRM implementation across different countries in the world. Two examples of digital DSS from Tanzania and Spain are also presented to demonstrate the opportunities for using state-of-the-art technology to support robust decision-making.
